    Evening all!

Does anyone know anything about Mercury Shotguns, and if so how do you rate them. They appear fairly cheap, but I was wondering if they were value for money, or complete scrap!!

    All advice greatly appreciated

Its actually a Mercury Light O/U with a Silver action, nice looking gun. Steel shot proofed, 28" Barrel, Multi choke (4no), 8mm Rib.

They are around the £400 mark and dont look too bad to me, but I know nout about them!

Hard to say without viewing it or even a photo. At 400 quid it has to be very basic. You get what you pay for. Zabala, a firm in Spain's Basque Region, produced a model called the Mercury. Zabala's quality is quite wide-ranging, from near-junk to a few good basic guns. If you are not going to shoot much OK but if you intend to shoot a lot, buy something better.

Mercury appears to be the make, and they also make a number of rifles and combination guns for the european market!

I would agree it has to be basic, but the price bracket is not too dangerous for someone who wants to try shotgun before leaping into something closer to the grand mark.

Just interested if anyone had any experience of the make!!
