God of War Collection from Gamestop

While I was in Gamestop today I was asked if I would like to preorder the God of War Trilogy Collection,the price quoted was €150 and I was also told they have the exclusive rights.

Well considering you can get it from Amazon for less than 40, I'd say you might be getting ripped off if you buy it

They don't have exclusive rights.

They have a GAME exclusive edition.

No I have God of War 1 and 2,sorry I have changed the post to include trilogy,I am wondering if this is going to be a Prestige edition debacle again,overpriced pointless toy no one needs but we all end up wanting and those of us crazy enough to punt for it lord over every one else.

150? They can **** right off! That's a rip! 100 or so would have been a fair price for the entire trilogy, but 150 is just taking the piss!

The SCEE said the game would retail for £109.99

Then add on the different vate rate from the UK to Ireland and it would be close to €150-€140, seems a lil high though.

Plus the american ultimate edition doesn't include the GOW collection.

Unless you really want the box, you'd be far better ordering the GoW collection from the US or Canada. It is region free like all PS3 games, so no point getting ripped off just for the packaging (again, unless that is what you really want).

It's $130 with the GOW collection seperate, from amazon, and again, you could probably buy that cheaper. $130 is €92. Even if you add 21% VAT, it's still barely €110.

That price is insane. You could buy the games and make a box instead! Or actually buy the games and a real treasure chest! I'd say it'd be cheaper. The extras are pointless as well - a heavy metal album inspired by the game? Um... no thanks!

It is pure greed. But if people are willing to pay it then these prices will happen again and again.
