VOIP Provider for High Volume Ireland/UK Landlines

    Hi all,

Basically, I need a VOIP provider for the office that can accommodate 80,000 - 120,000 total minutes of calls over 5-10 lines per month. I see most of the supposed "unlimited" packages cap usage at either 2,000 or 4,000 minutes (which I think is flagrant false advertising, but that's for another day) which we would probably surpass by lunchtime of our first day.

The vast majority of our calls are to UK and Irish landlines, we have mobiles for the mobile calls so these aren't important.

    Any suggested plans?

Cheapest option I have sourced so far is Vonage in the U.K., buying 40 lines of their Vplan2 at 7.99 each - total cost £320 p/m.

Is there any cheaper way of getting that many minutes on a flat rate? The pay as you go plan with Blueface would cost us in the region of 1500 by the looks of things.

We would be using our own PBX system that we bought so akaik the service provider can be anywhere in the world - we don't need any hardware.

Thanks a mil in advance for any advice,

    K.

Have you tried speaking to Blueface directly. I've always found them helpful and they would probably come up with a competitive quote.

Best they'll do is straight up PAYG at those volumes - 1.7c per minute. May as well be using Eircom at that price.

    Hi Kukamunga,

I think Eircom are alot higher than 1.7c.

Eircom Business Daytime Rates (Base Rate)
    Ireland Local 4.07c Plus VAT
    Ireland National 6.75c Plus VAT
    UK Landline 12.69c Plus VAT

I did use Blueface for a while, but I had a business account.
Give the blueface business guys a shout.

Is that the price they quoted based on your needs or is it just the price from their webpage?

I would expect a lot better than that based on your stated volume.

Kukamunga, you should call the office. I'm sure out our commercial manager could deal with your specific rates, if you bring volumes like this.
