Property empire built while on housing benefit Wednesday, 20 January 2010 18:06

A Belfast woman who claimed housing benefits while building a multi-million pound property empire has been ordered to hand over more than 40 properties to the NI authorities.

The bankers on saleries of up to €3mil/ann should have their assetts confiscated. They accumulated wealth by writing themselves contracts with bonuses for giving out money which would not be re-paid and they knew it. It was a scam of Madoff proportions.

You're right, and the 'common man' needs to stand up and stop this rot. However, we're living in an Orwellian, feudalistic, post-democratic world where common courage (and common sense) have dwindled to almost nothing. In short, you'll take it and you'll like it!
