Around five of us in our early 20s are interested in going on a 'cheap and cheerful' sun holiday in early March.

Any suggestions? We're looking to pay around €400 pp for a package deal.

Will most resorts (e.g. Playa Blanca and Costa Teguise in Lanzarote) be open for business as usual? Or will most of the clubs/bars be closed because it's 'off season'?

    Thanks.

me my best friend and her boyfriend all between 19 and 21 are heading to lanzarote in march were going to puerto del carmen ( it is the busiest resort ) for a week we got it for 370 witch was good.... i would advise you go to puerto del carmen as it has the liveliest night life on the island all the clubs will be open as it an all year round resort...

    Cheers for that.

We were going to go down the package holiday route but we were recommended by other friends that it works out much cheaper to book your own flights and rent a villa.

We've found return flights and a a couple of options for a villa. Should work out at €300 p.p.

Puerto del Carmen is also our 1st choice as well.

i was in Lanzarote in late november and everything in Puerto del Carmen was open, that time of year october till march is when the older folks visit the canaries

personally i thought southern gran canaria was more a place for a winter sun holiday, it is warmer, beaches are better and its nowhere near as windy

We want a good mixture of bars/clubbing and beach/pool. I'd say Lanzorate may fit that description better than Gran Canaria?
