I heard that the authority for issueing bike licenses was bad, but it's a bit ridiculous, i applied for my full A license at the start of january, still no word from the them. On friday i also applied for my full B license, got a letter this morning acknowledging my application. Just wondering what's going on here, are us bikers being neglected, even though we pay the same price for a driving test as well as similar road tax?

I'm assuming you mean the actual test? Lets see, applied October 08, got response around May 09 only to find out I was now leaving the country on the exact date. Trip ended up being later, missed the second date I was given. Applied in August 09 for new test, still waiting for some acknowledgement or response.

When I applied for the A test, I got a letter 2-3 days later confirming the receipt of the application. Then I got an the test appointment about 9 weeks after the letter.

I'd follow up with the receipt of the application.

The waiting time after you apply is anything from 6 months to 9 months.

To all of those out there on their provisional/learners - APPLY NOW!

    When and Where?

In Oct 09, I applied to Finglas for the A test and I got my date on the 4th December.

Contact the RSA regarding the confirmation letter (www.rsa.ie)
