Internal Upgrades

I've never really messed around with internals other than to swap out barrels so my knowledge is limited in this area. Now, after being out-ranged by a disturbing number of hostiles over the weekend, I'm looking to upgrade my JG HK416 a little.

    My questions then are:
    1. From reading around here I understand that a precision barrel and new hop-up would probably be sufficient, is that fair to say? If no, what's recommended?
    2. Sounds like there are customs issues with ordering sights etc. from abroad, I assume internal parts are ok?
    3. If I get my hands on these, what kind of level of difficulty am I looking at to install them? Is it as simple as taking the AEG apart and replacing the stock parts?
    4. Parts (hop-up units in particular) are marked as being for specific models and manufacturers, can I assume that if something works for an TM M4 it will be good in a JG 416 or do I need to be very specific?
Maybe I'm being overly cautious but just like to be 100% sure before I go ordering anything. Any help appreciated, thanks!

I don't have an ansewer to your question, but if I could just ask aswell,

If you change the internals of the gun, for better range and accuracy, owuld that not also change the FPS? I wouldn't want to spend money changeing my gun, if I find out that I wouldn't be able to use it

A precision barrel and new hop rubber (Madbull Black Python and Guarder Silicone or Madbull Shark rubber) would be a good easy upgrade. I've imported atleast €100 worth of spare parts and have never had any issues with getting them in, got the occasional delays but that's it.
Installing the new barrel and hop is very easy, well easy enough. Simply remove the barrel and hop chamber from the AEG and take out the old barrel and hop rubber then install the new ones. I find it easiest to take apart the hop chamber so that the arm that controls the amount of hop is out of the way, then I can push the barrel and hop rubber in and drop the bucking on top. After that you just have to reassemble it, literally push a pin in and push on a few gear wheels.

It depends on what you change, gears and tappet plates, etc will have no effect on fps, unless they made awesome new ones which do...
Springs, cylinders, pistons, spring guides, air nozzles, etc will all effect fps in some way. A precision barrel can add fps, as can a new hop, especially if the old one is torn.
If you plan on doing a lot of upgrade work, borrow a chrono or get your own one, absolutely invaluable piece of kit.
