    Hi,

Leaving in the States, pretty much everyone is exposed to guns and gun ownership.

I was wondering what are the rules in Ireland as to what you can own in particular what kind of hand guns/riffles that kind of thing?

    Thanks:

    I'm in the Uk/England.
A few years ago I was a member of the local club, after a check out you could book a slot, hire a gun and have a bang.
    22, 32, 38 9/10mm auto, 45ACP 44S&W.
    Huge fun.
Even met Stanley Kubrick though I didnt who he was at the time
But there was a couple of incidents in the country
when fire arm certificate holders ran amok and killed children.
We all had to hand our kit in. Confiscated. They said they would pay compenasation, but Ive never had a penny.
    I gave up after that.
Long barelled BP pistols. single shot rifles and shotguns you can have.
    Its not the same.
As for Ireland, air pistols and vermin control only from what I can gather.
They dont like guns over her mate.
