Overcrowding and Slashed Hours?

This semester I've noticed that lectures have been cut down. We now have no more than 3 classes in each module per week whereas we generally had 4 classes in each module in all semesters prior. While initially it seems great to have less hours per week, it will only mean that lecturers will have little time to go over things in class.

Also, the college seem to be getting into the habit of putting two (or more) classes into the same module. Today we had no less than 4 different classes from separate courses all attending the same lecture and even though attendance was only about 60%, there wasn't enough computers to go around. When we asked why this was, we were told that the college didn't expect that many people to attend. Has it really got to the stage where the college is gambling on woeful attendance in its courses? I obviously understand them combining classes where the numbers are small but surely it's borderline negligent to assume that they get away with combining classes to bring a total of over 70 when they're expected to work in a computer lab.

Anyone else having the same pattern emerge in their course?

11 hours total per week, and we only have 1 subject on our own. but forensics has never had many modules where we werent mixed with other classes ( i think 4 or 5 total)

We have 2 hours for one subject.. Which I'm not too bothered about as I'm busy working on my final year project and need all the spare time I can get.

My class has no lecturer for one subject yet. Well, one was assigned at the start of the week, but he hasn't turned up for any classes. And week four (of twelve) is nearly over.
