best city map apps

What are best city map apps for the likes of Dublin, Balfast, Paris. London. Just want something to use as portable sat nav when I am one of those cities. Want something that does not hae to be online when I am using it as don't want extortionate roaming charges. Has to give details of Tube, trains etc.

I've got Navigon Europe, which gives detailed offline maps of all European countries, urban and rural. Not much detail of public transport though, only things like train stations etc.

If you don't need a GPS device in general you would probably be better off buying the city maps from the appstore. Don't know how good they are or if they have public transport details in them though.
