Anyone know when Caprica will be starting on Sky? The latest magazine said to keep an eye on the EPG for details but didn't give any more indication than that.

Just checked Sky one's website there and they're saying it'll air in February. The third episode, ie. the first new episode is scheduled to air on the 29th in the us.

Airs in the states on Friday. As far as I know Sky is only a week behind.

Just scowered two threads there. Does anyone have a link to The Plan so I can watch it please?

    Thanking you.

You cant do that here. You'll have to find it yourself.

So the one airing this friday in the US is just a slightly modified version of the pilot that came out months ago?

Does anyone know if there will be much if any differences between the Caprica pilot that was released months ago and whats going to be on tv?

They're airing all of BSG on one of the sky channels at the moment aren't they?
They might conclude with The Plan just before Caprica airs. It's not important though.

Theres nudity in the original pilot, I doubt the American networks would've kept that in. As far as i know it is slightly edited yes. I recommend you watch the original and make your own mind up about it. Personally i thought
it rushed the creation of the cylons

Correct no boobage, I watched the us aired one just now. was 87 minutes in total. It wasn't so bad I thought had I known Eric Stoltz was in it I would have checked it out much sooner. Agreed with what you spoiler tagged there especial when he was asked how long
    ah a few day's :D

Brand new trailer aired for season 1 after Caprica in the US last night.

    Looks great:)

So it's starting this Friday then, with the original pilot edited and split in two?

They aired episodes 1 and 2 together last Friday in the States (pretty much identical to the original pilot except they took out the boobies). Episode 3 (first new episode) is this Friday.

For anyone who hasn't seen the ads, it's starting on Sky One next Tuesday at 9pm :D

    O M G

This looks fookin brilliant. For a show where we already know the outcome I can't predict where this show is going. (confusing statement there.)

Oh right. The Plan. I totally skipped that nonsense :pac:

Mostly because I wasnt really sure I wanted that hole plugged. The 4 seasons of BSG were long and I was weary from them.

Hand of God though man.... I just cant believe they had one of their best episodes so damn early!

I haven't seen the last series of BSG yet, I wonder if Caprica would have any spoilers (I know it's a prequel, but...) or if there would be any storylines i don't follow etc....?

no you're fairly safe i'd say. Although Caprica might be a flop and it'd be a terrible thing if it turned you off the re-imagined BSG series, which really was something special.

I really wish there was something we could do on this side of the pond to help this.

Not sure international ratings matter much to US tv studios.

One thing though, the Caprica and Plan DVD/Blu Rays have finally been given a UK/Irish release according to Amazon.co.uk so buying Caprica may help.

    Caprica:

    The plan (BR):

Wonder what happens when you enter Graystones house without permission. I'm seeing that robot thing flipping out and shooting bullets out of its face.

Haha! I'd love to know - reckon I would take one out though after watching them fall like flies to a Cylon!

Just watched the pilot again on Sky.

    Will check out Rebirth soon.

I imagined an R2-D2 like taser.

Just rewatched the pilot and loved it. This whole show would be better watched all at once back to back I'd say. Its gonna piss people off for being slow and not much happening. But it'll all build up till we get all out war one day.

    If it lasts that long.

Frankly, that was BSGs problem. The WGA Strike did NOT help out the last season at all.

Meh, there was still plenty of interest with the
shattered earth and Final Cylon cliffhangers. Then we had the excellent (and surprising) mutiny arc.

I do agree it was a little weak between there and the finale but I would argue that they were simply dips in quality rather than results of the writer's strike at that stage.
