Wasn't too sure where to put this thread so I put it here, anyway..
I torn my knee ligaments about three years and now plan to take my first steps back to some form of sport, just wondering can anyone recommend me footwear for wearing whilst playing indoor soccer?
I don't know if it'll make much difference but I do remember years back I had a bad pair of runners and they sometimes stick to the surface and lock my knee if that makes any sense

Prob not the best place for the thread but I'll reply as I play a bit of 5 a side. I find something quite soft soled is the best - you may want to check out the adidas Sambas.
I myself have a pair of nike presto's that I swear by, but they don't offer much protection for the foot.

Either way go easy, I find indoor it's about darting about rather than running at full pace, otherwise you're leaving yourself open to risks like you describe

A work mate just had a small bit of knee surgery and was told to avoid 5 a side all together. Was told by the specialist that there was a rise in knee injuries lately all down to people playing 5 a side with runners that had too much grip. The grip increases the strain on the knee when stopping.

Best advice he was told was to wear runners with little grip so that you will slide

So go with your normal, cheapish runners?
