Sky Sports PGA Coverage 2010

Just watching the Sony Open on Sky sports. Finding they're showing the same few players in the last few groups, ads are on every few minutes and a lot of useless interviews and talking about way too much non golf related stuff (kites and surfing!)
Understand its taken from Golf Channel but is this the way US golf going to be from now on? Have hardly seen a shot!
Have few quid on Rory Sabbatini who at the moment is 4 off leader and haven't seen him once in hour and half.

That's the way US coverage has been for some time now.They're only interested in showing the big names, and spend more time talking about how great everyone is to charity and biggin' up the area the tournament happens to be in than the actual golf.I find the commentators and overall presentation to be phony, sterile, and generally boring.But what can you do?Sky have to get their coverage from somewhere.

it was the same last weekend.i watched a hour of it last sunday and saw **** all golf in that hour.they even showed some old geezer diving into the sea and the golf channel commentators gave scores on the dive:(

Agree with the op its incredibly annoying its like watching the feckin ad channel in the 3 1/2 hrs coverage there is about 30mins of golf its a joke

i started a thread along the same lines about sky and taking us feeds. hoping they would have their own people commentating.

I can't stand faldo. Feherty I think needs to stop trying to be funny everytime.

Coverage on BBC so much better. The Sky team are good (Butch is so entertaining - classic quote last weekend "Osama bin Laden is easier to find than Tiger Woods these days"!)
Just a pity they have to take coverage from Golf Channel. Roll on Masters on BBC, might get to see some golf shots for a change and not a load of palm trees they showed for about 5 mins last night! :mad:

This is great.The leaders are out on the course, Allenby's already made a birdie on the first, and the Golf Channel aren't sending any pictures for another half an hour.So the Sky boys have to waffle on until that time.Genius.:mad:

Yeah, quite annoying MOTD it is until then, more like the snooker, can't believe it's 9-9
