I have no real female friends. Only ones I know and talk to every now and then, no close ones really...:(

I've tried but circumstances never happen. I just end up trying my luck with women sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Either way the chance of being friends diminishes at that point.

Most of my mates seem to do it by facebook but how do you talk to people you don't know? I feel I would make an fool of myself if I started making conversation with randomers.

I just feel like there is a gap in my life. I have no sisters or current girlfriend either.

    :(

Are you in college or at work? If you are in college, then you could start by just being helpful to the girls in your class (for example, asking if they need help with their work or something). You could also suggest that the class group sits down together in the canteen at least once per week together. This way, you'll be sure to form a bond.

If you are in a work situation, then I guess the same principles apply.
