Has anyone here have a problem with their WD TV where the unit is failing to recognise any external hard drive? I have tried 3 seperate drives any none will be recognised but a 4GB and an 8Gb memory stick works fine.

    Any ideas would be appreciared.

    has it worked before?
are the external hard drives usb powered or do they also have their own power supply?

im thinking they might be usb powered and not getting enough power from the wd tv.
if the wdtv has 2 usb ports you could try using a double headed usb cable for extra power.
