It's a foul if he lifts all four chair legs of the ground.

me and the lads decided to go some where different for a gg of cards. so we decided to travel 2hrs away for a game!!!
played the tourny than played cash game.which i felt was a little soft althought i got rivered in a 400yoyo pot, kk vs a10, 10 on flop i shoved he called ace on river, no surpise seeing im running like a dirty cat. anyway i was on sit out
(waiting on the lads) there was good banter in the club, there was alcohol available which in my experience can be a disaster. but whatever.
the chat quickly got out of hand, and this loudmouth ""scumbag" looking fella got thick and fired the dealer button at a player which he was bantering with. then he got up, picked up a 42lbs leather chair and threw it across the table at the player.. we were all shocked at this guys actions. there was a bit of a fist fight between the two until it was seperated. the guy got kicked out obviously, hes got alot of issues i'd say and probably should not be allowed to leave the halting site from now on. other than that it was an enjoyable experience.

I was in the club with them lads 2 . In behalf off the club its a great place and a good friendly antmosphere an very well run .It was all going wel ,every 1 was having a laugh and enjoying them selfs until this drugy looking DONKEY came in . He was being a loud mouth and saying some smart remarks .I seen the button being fired across the table but i thought they were only messing about ,but the next thing ya see is a big chair flying across the table at a player, i was like wat the **** .And then they started boxing ,was madness, first time i have ever seen that at a card game.He was removed out of the club straight away......other than that was good nyt ....

If this fellow came in drugged or drunk imo he should have been shown the door there and then.

Woaaah! I'm guessing he wasn't holding the nuts at that stage.
    Was he insulted I wonder?

there was banter and maybe he felt that he wasn't getting the best of it, so he spat out the dummy and instead of toys out of his cot it was a chair over a poker table!!!
insulted r not i think he could of handled it a bit better than doing that. it was a 10 r 9 handed table with a female dealer, anyone could have got hit by it.
i never saw anything that outrageous at a poker game and i have been playing about 5 years. hope not to witness it again!!!!

Outrageous alright, I hope not to see it ever as well. I've been dealing 15 years and never saw anything even close.

Ive been around poker a long time now and ive seen a lot of silly things happen , but i have never heard or seen anything so disgusting as this .
I happen to be the player that the button and the chair was aimed at ,and by the time i was picking the chair off of me this fkn nutter was standing over me reigning thumps down on me . I managed to get to my feet and fight him off . He then told me he would kill me when i came out.
I was suprised to say the least that this was happening , but i was even more suprised to notice that nobody tried to stop this maniac , some of the regs were just telling me not to go out after him as we was a crazy junkie and the people he was involved with were very dangerous. It was obvious that something like this was expected as seemingly his best mate was barred the night before for causing trouble.
The owner of the club had been there earlier and had left for the night but he did ring me within a few minutes to appologise for what happened. I dont think the owner should have to appolgise for a scumbag like this but if he is aware of people like this i dont think he should be letting them into the club.
I dont hold anything against the club as it is a lovely place with nice people (mostly) and very friendly staff . It's for that reason that i brought the lads there to play in a decent game with good players. But after this i dont think any of them will be too keen to return . As for me well im not sure if i'll be back there or not . I dont scare too easy and i won't bow down to threats from scumbags no matter who or what their friends are .

in this climate of the gun i be more cautious to be honest in my own day getting the sh it kicked out of u was worse that would happen most of the time but these days theres no stopping people on wat they do .
myself i give it a pass for a while fck there loads of places to play poker
backing down is not one of my traits but i wont put myself in danger either life to short m8

No , as its not the clubs fault.

and maybe an independent view on the bit of banter?
The banter was about leeds beating ManU ( Villain was wearing a ManU top ) and the dealer was after killing his hand in the middle of a pot for being on the phone so i would guess this helped him in his retarded decision to try and maim half the table with a chair.

?? Should it matter what the banter was about, Do you think it is acceptable to act like this if the banter reached a certain level

I wouldn,t expect anything else from you anyway , the scumbag must be a relation of yours i think:p.
Where do you get off putting me in the same category as someone like this. For as long as you have known me , have you ever seen me lift a hand to anyone. Sure i have raised my voice and shouted at people but dont put me in the same class as a tramp that does something like this.
At least i know what you really think of me now. Thank M8:rolleyes:

My guess is that in the course of said banter you lied about some issues and things just reached their natural conclusion - happens

Has someone really weighed the chair?

They didnt have to weigh it. There was an imprint left on Damo's head with manufacturers name, Phone Number, serial code, weight of chair and a health warning of some sort

This nutter should be put on the irish olympic team...
Firstly for the shot putt and then for D Wrestlin cos he must be some tool to tackle Damo(hulk) :D

when the chair was in mid air i could see that the weight of the chair was written on the underside of the seat. :P:P:P

some of the lads have now got a chair phobia, which doesn't really bother them, although going to the toilet for num2 is messy!!!!
