Im currently asking around as to why USAF C-17A "08-8192" 62nd AW 446th AW was in Dublin, Apparently its the second time only that a C-17 has graced Dublin's tarmac.

What a fantastic aircraft, hopefully the DAA can entice a few more visits from these aircrafts. Certainly shakes up the 737/A320 parade out in DUB these days and if they are giving the DAA a new revenue stream the more the merrier!

It was just a weather diversion for a fuel stop because there was low visibility in Shannon, and Germany/UK were both snowed in

It was a weather diversion from Spangdahlem AB, Germany.
However, the poor weather in the UK forced it to route towards Shannon initially but low viz there forced the diversion into Dublin (arrived around 0800).
It eventually departed @ 1245 to Spangdahlem.

    :D
