Ordering SKY HD without the HD Box

Hi, A friend of mine wants to cancel his sky HD and has offered me his HD box. Can I order HD added to my viewing card or will Sky insist on selling me the HD box as well?

Have you tried ringing Sky and explaining your position to them? If I was to guess, I would say probably not. Therefore, you'd have to decide if you want to shell out the €49 for the box. I think it's worth it, because even the "ordinary" SD picture seems to be better when viewed through the HD box.

Yeah, no problem, just ring them up and get them to pair the card and upgrade to HD at the same time.
