Hello.Looking to buy a laptop in the 5ooe region. Looking at the acer 5532 in harvey normans for 499e. Has anyone experience good/bad on this model or acers in general. Any better alternatives in the price range would be much appreciated. Cheers S

lots of choice in that price range so just choose something you like.
the spec in your link looks fine.
dont know about that particular model but acer are huge , they sell more pcs than dell, so no worries there

Ta James., went for the Toshiba Satelite L450D-11W with AMD Turion processor and 500g hd for €500 in Curry's. Looks a good machine for the prices and the HDMI slot was the clincher.
