Never go into Powers because there's none near my house or my work but was off today and passed Paddy Powers in Ranleagh on way home from town today and saw they were offering Ivory Coast at 5/4 to beat Ghana tonight on a poster in the window.
Was going to back them on Betfair when I got home anyway so checked and the fair was 11/10 so had 200 on it.
They were 10/11 in the post so not sure why they were giving 5/4?
Would have had more and layed the balance but I didn't have enough cash on me.
    3-1 winners so happy days.
Got talking to a bloke inside and he told me they were doing sales all Jan so with nothing to rush home to, I waited around until they closed to see what they were offering.
    1. They were giving money back if your horse finished 4th on the races at Wolver both win and e/w but max 300.
    2. 10% Bonus on dog forecasts.
    3. If your horse won at SP 8/1 or better, you got the next price up (wasn't that many winners over 8/1 so wouldn't have paid out much on that.
Wouldn't have suited me as I don't normally back a horse over 5/1 but might tickle somebody elses fancy out there.
    4. Trimble to score 1st try in the Ulster match was up from 10/1 to 14/1 (didn't happen)
    5. Drogba 1st goalscorer 5/1 from 4/1 (again didn't happen)
    6. Ivory Coast & Ulster double was upped from 11/8 to 13/8
    7. There was a Chelsea, Leeds & Newcastle Treble up but can't remember what price it was.
    8. Couple of horse favourites they put up to next price on the show, one won at 5/2, other one lost.
Not sure if they did other stuff before I got in but that was all they had up when I was in there.
Might take a look in there tomorrow afternoon or if someone can post up on here what they have in the morning, might save me a journey if there's nothing there I'd be interested in.

Was thinking the exact same yesterday.

they also had 20% bonus tricast with combination bets 6 for 5 which was a excellent special.
You can do a 4 dog combination tricast for 20 bets for the price of of 24 and then get a 20% bonus.

also yesterday they had a special that if you dog finished 2nd to a trap 2 you got your money back singles only.

2 specials stood out this evening.

    B O'Driscoll for 1st try was 9/1 now 14/1.(best anywhere else is 10/1)

    C Ronaldo 1st goal was 7/2 now 11/2 (best anywhere else 4/1)

Ronaldo at 11/2 looks very big.

Anybody happen to be in Ladbrokes yesterday?
They were doing a money back special if 2nd in the 2.10 Lingfield.
Backed the horse that came 2nd but can't remember the exact details of the special and just need to know before I go in to collect and get my refund.
It was either 2nd beaten under 3 lengths or 2nd beaten over 3 lengths.
I know which one it probably is but need confo.
