Window Wipers?!

I'm not the best with the mechanics of a car so I'm looking for a bit of advice.

While driving today my back wiper stopped in the middle of the window. Then a few minutes later my front window wipers stopped mid flight. Then I could get a smell of burning a few minutes later. Also I couldnt spray water to clean the windows for the last few days, even though the water wasnt frozen and topped up.

I got the window wiper motor replace only 11 months ago and the car was parked up for the last 10 months, as I was away traveling. ( It was ran every now and again to keep it ticking over)

Is it the wiper motor or the fuse by the sounds of things?

Anyone any ideas? The last motor cost €300 and I cant afford that again!
