As this was a team event and not having other information about the structure / stage etc, maybe the German team needed to come only 5th to win and he was getting the ok to call from the captain. He may have been given strict instructions not to get knocked out under any circumstances.

i see what you mean but nah in this team event they all played the same stack and players were swapped after every level.

Not Channing but these two guys are by far the best poker broadcasters I have heard. The pokerstars live webcasts are one of the only broadcasts I would watch these days. Was following the PCA all week but didn't bother tuning in to the world cup. I think it is viewed as a bit of a micky mouse event so maybe that explains the warped sense of humour by the Germans and how that Darius guy didn't get up and kill him. Between Tobias Reinkemeier and these sly cnuts, I think Germans are definitely the villains of the poker world!

I heard someone mention that the captain called time when the other guy pushed as he thought he had a big decision obviously not knowing he had AA, so from what i can tell it was the captain that called for a timeout but i maybe wrong

i watched all of that final table, 1 pro (caption) and 4 online qualifiers per team.. the guy was so nervous tat he took ages to make a decision because he didn't want to lose it for the team. it was a bit of a brain fart on his part as he was holding aa and it was going to be heads up. so what more did he want!! the chinese crowd were very good althought they got the better cards.
