Is there still snow down that direction, or is it still icy. Anyone been out on a bike down around there.

Also do you think you will be able to cycle up to Lough Tay from the Round side.

    This is for tomorrow.

    Cheers.

Not sure about today but I was talking to someone who lives out towards roundwood yesterday and even the main kilmac - roundwood road was in bits - barely passable by jeep. I can only imagine it gets worse further up.

That said - it's warm out today so it could be thawed out by today or tomorrow.

    I wouldn't bet on it - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=64003860

could take a while to thaw.

RTE news last night were showing the hills above Brittas (300 - 400m elev.) still under 4-7 feet of snow. I went over Bohernabreena (in the car) on Wednesday night and nearly got stuck in a section of snow about 16 inches deep at 250m.

Laragh itself might be OK, but I'd say all approaches are screwed. If you wanted to make a day of it on the MTB, you could go from Kilmacanogue via Annamoe, but the road bike hasn't a hope, and even on an MTB it'll be slow going.

All that rain we got over the last few days was snow up in the hills...

Will you not be taking a few weeks off once your seasons main goal is over?
