Im 183cm tall and 33 inch waist and went with the medium for top and shorts... fit is nice without being tight...

there a size guide somewhere on the site...

Seems like it's medium for everyone, I'm 5,7 and between 30-32 inches around the waste and the size guide says to go for medium. I got myself a pair of leggings and 2 of those jackets, I like the blue one but there's none in medium so grabbed one of each in black and white, why not for only €6.

Interestingly when setting up my account it defaulted the delivery country to the UK and when I looked at my basket the price has shot up from 20 odd € to about 60 or 80 sterling, for once we Irish shoppers are getting the better deal. Nice one OP.

Edit: Yeah, I had problems ordering using chrome and on the machine I'm using which is behind VPN, I had my personal one nearby and tried that using Explorer and had no issues at all, bar initially defaulting me to the UK which I mentioned above.

got ds trainers half price 62.50 in elverys in Dundrum.adidas supernova 45euro also and lkayano 15's 99euro

My gear arrived yesterday, not bad for the price I paid. The running tops are more suited as a base layer at this time of year, I would have liked them to be a bit heavier but I can't complain, haven't checked out the bottoms yet.

The label on the tops says they're fitted with ports for easy headphone organisation, the only thing I can see are two little pockets on the back and a loop on the outside of the collar, is that what they mean ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,550 ✭✭✭✭Krusty_Clown

I see they have more items in stock (running top, in small and medium), shorts etc.
Managed to get around the blank page issue during checkout too. What you need to do is:
When you click on checkout, and you get the blank page, edit the url in the address bar, and remove the second part of the address, which contains the return URL (i.e.: everything after the characters returnURL=) and hit [Enter].
Should bring you to the appropriate checkout page.

Mine arrived yesterday too, found the arms on the medium top to be quite long or else I have short arms (deep pockets ;)).

Can't say I noticed the length of the arms, although I only quickly threw the top on over a t-shirt while in the office to get a quick guide and took it back off again before anyone saw me. I'll wear one while out tonight and see how I fare, although if it's going to be as cold as they say it is I won't mind long sleeves too much.

Now to figure out how to sneak them into the house, my wife has already told me I have enough stuff and not to buy anymore but I've since bought a pile of stuff and sneaked them home in my laptop bag before stashing them away in my gear cubby.

Damn you Krusty, I decided to have a look and a running jacket has caught my eye, to buy or not to buy.....

You're going to need a bigger laptop bag!

I use the same ploy she uses when she gets new clothes... "This, I have had it for years..."

my big issue at home is the amount of sports gear to be washed each week, between biking and running there is a mountain of gear to be cleaned. I am currently injured and have only being swimming for the past two weeks and I think she would prefer me to drop this Triathlon lark and just swim as there is only a pair of swim briefs in the laundry :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,418 ✭✭✭Jip

Same as myself, although I'm the one who does the washing in my house so she doesn't noticed all this new stuff appearing regularly. I find it's best to throw everything I've worn into the wash when I get home. Most stuff I have tells me it can only be washed at 30c anyway and as I usually end up filthy somehow I find it best to wash it before the dirt/sweat gets a foothold. Plus with base layers I find the longer they're left the smellier they get and if left too long it's harder to get the smell out.

I'll leave the check out page open for the duration of the day and make a last minute decision before I go home if I'll buy it nor not :D

Lads - As an aside, how do you hear about this cheap Nike stuff (apart from here)? It doesn't appear when you look through the clearance section in the Nike site? Do you get email alerts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 157 ✭✭cphowlin

First saw it on another thread here... then just kept an eye on it...

Before the 'event' I was going to post that if you enter 'free' as the promo code you get free delivery, swayed me anyway in picking more stuff up.

Its just the stuff in the first post going cheap. I had a look for more stuff but thats it. I got myself a few bits. Hard not to at that price. More stock seems to be added ocasionally so keep and eye.

    Cheers.

Have received two pairs of capris, a pair of shorts, and two running tops. Have worn them all at this stage, and found them to be great (and much cheaper than cheap TKMaxx gear. Still holding out for some medium tights.

    Seriously.

Comfort, and they're good for "in-between" weather when it's too cold for shorts but milder than you'd like it to be for tights.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,418 ✭✭✭Jip

I've found the tights to be a little chillier than the Rebok ones I have, but then again it could just be the weather, you would have had icicles growing on you Saturday morning if you stood around too long with that damp fog.

Got myself a running jacket too for €30, the same one is about £80 on the UK site and around $100 in various US sites. Haven't worn it yet but it's decent enough, light but should keep the elements out.

That's me done until the summer at least, then I might need some new shorts. Mods, can you ban me from any threads that contain the words 'bargain' or 'cheap' until April or so ? :P

Got a delivery of shorts and capris today and then went and ordered some more :)

Great bargain and more available on site.....

I know what you mean:) Tracksuit for €19 ordered, and a windproof jacket that looks the business for sticking in my pocket on the mountains, €13. FREE code still works for free delivery.

Not Nike gear, but the Direct Sports sports shop in the Square has some Asics gear going really cheap at the moment if anyone's willing to brave the trek out to Tallaght and survive the skangers! Was only really checking out the womens stuff, but they had shorts and singlets for a fiver, capris for €8, tights for €10 and some other bits too. Some relatively cheap shoes as well, 2140s for 60, Nimbus 11 for 70 and flats going for 30-40.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,418 ✭✭✭Jip

Oi, none of that rubbish stereotyping around here, Tallaght has long tradition of some fine athletes and a hell of a lot more nice people than scum.;-)
