I Kissed a Man & I Liked It

Ok, we had that Katie Perry song about girls snogging & no-one really batted an eyelid.. for blokes it was mildly titillating, for girls, at worst innofensive, at best, an expression of a sexual fantasy - not necessarily a desire - but a fantasy.

Either way, it was a big hit.

It also made me think, what if it was gender reversed & sung by, say Karl Perry, singing, "I kissed a boy & I liked it"... how different would the reaction have been?

In my opinion, young girls would not have bought it, most blokes would have been mildly disgusted by it and it would have flopped (no pun intended)..

So why? Is homophobia just gender related?

Its not homophobia, girls are nice to look at , men a horrible hairy lumpy things. No one wants to see two blokes, not even women who are supposed to be sexually attracted to men. (generally speaking)

Its always been a cheeky kinky thing for two chicks to kiss for a reason. The same reason women don't get off to male gay porn.

Also, generally the sight of another women is not displeasing to women, so women that do watch porn generally wont mind seeing the naked chick.

Honestly this is all common sense, but its always gonna come up, and go in circles.

I don't know. I don't enjoy watching lesbian activity at all. I remember watching this dance video of all these hot girls going at it and then thinking, "if they're so happy going with each other, why the hell would they go with me?" :(.

Well, to make it manly it'd need to at least be beer flavored chap stick.

Remember that show that used to be on Channel 4, "Queer as Folk"? As a straight woman, I still found that pretty sexy at times!
And how about Brokeback Mountain. I swear, that scene with the two of them in the tent. Mmmmmmm!!!
Wouldn't get much out of two hairy, sweaty blokes snogging each other though - it has to be done with tact and beautiful men.

In fairness, Russell Brand is just Katy Perry with a beard

Men see other men as competition that must be destroyed. We'd rather hit each other than kiss each other.

Why are the words 'nuclear' and 'war' edited out of the song? Weird.

    Obviously ghey. :pac:;)

All seriousness aside, I'd rather watch hetero pron than lesbian, for the above reason. It really only works as a fantasy if you think you can the two of them into bed.

(Good looking) Women just kiss each other for male attention. Men kiss each other because there is a hierarchy in prison which must be obeyed.

For every lesbian couple = Work for a film crew.
For every gay couple = less men competing for women...

You're obviously not familiar with gay slang. A nuclear war is where 15 guys with gerbils up their bums spunk and poo on you at the same time, while heiling hitler.

    I believe it's quite fun.

"Queer as Folk" was a really good show - at the time at least - dunno how well it's aged, but my missus stiil has a thing for the Irish actor who played one of the lead roles.

I have to say though - Brokeback Mountain was the worst western I've ever seen - not because there was no gun slinging, but I couldn't understand a f*cking word anyone was saying. Clint was a great western mumbler, but at least you could hear what he was mumbling!
