    Womens race 12
    Mens race 12.30

Just so this is screamingly obvious to people because the only update on here is in the generic BHAA 2010 thread.

Would spikes be an absolute necessity for this? If so, where could some be acquired cheaply?

There are alway a few folks in their old runners / trail shoes. I stress old as they will get mucky and wet. Spikes would be best as you will need the grip.

Not a necessity to have spikes at all, will just help in the tricky bits. Krusty_Clown did what I believe will be a similar circuit before with some trail shoes and I think someone else on the BAC team that day may have just been in regular runners with it being a very muddy day. If you're doing the race at 12 it will be less churned up by then anyway.

There are a few shops in Dublin where you could get spikes, but might be a bit late to get out and get them before tomorrow now. I got mine from Mick Dowlings, and that was where I first spotted Woddle as he was picking up some at the same time. Only we didn't know who each other was at the time.

I am not so sure that those who took your advice will be thanking you! Course was very muddy and it was tough going for the large number of runners. Now nicely churned up for the Dublin Masters on Sunday. Results not yet up on members.bhaa.ie but should be there later in the day.

SDCC 2010 Individual Results are online now.

Will add the teams tomorrow and follow up on some odds and ends.

The finishing positions seem to be out of order due to it listing all SM, then all M40 then M45 etc.

You are quite right, although the women's results are ok. I am sure it will be fixed quickly but if you want to see the mens results properly sorted, I have attached a re-sorted copy in pdf. I think that the links in the pdf file work too. Looks like robinph might be finding his standard reduced from 11 after a fine run. (Works like a golf handicap really - so it's an honour to have it cut.)

Not sure about wanting that honour, I'm quite liking making my way up the grade C league and don't think I want to mix it up with the grade B lads yet.

EH, I think those results are wrong, unless I've changed my name and my age category. The number I was wearing and the time I finished has been given to someone with the same surname in the SM category.

Looks like it was a simple mistake at registration. The two names would have been next to each other on the list.

I wondered why I couldn't see you in the results.

A few photos from yesterday's race. I was taking part so none of the photos are my own - thanks to those that did post them. First race of 2010 up there...

There are enough pictures of you up there. Did you actually run the race or were you just standing posing infront of every camera on the course? ;)

For some reason my time didnt appear in the results, a bit disappointed over that as the race was tough and was looking forward to seeing my first cross country time up there.

Will go again at it this weekend.

One member of our team appeared in the results under someone elses name, thus messing up our team results. It's possible there were a couple of other similar issues in there as well, I think they are looking into it.

The mens results do now appear in finishing order rather than age group order on the BHAA site:

My number is not even on that page.

Was alot worst conditions than i expected too, but thats the fun of it :)

My first ever x country run. have to say it was a killer! Really tough on the leg muscles compared to road running and was slipping everywhere! Have now bought some spikes as a result!
