Are Ryanair "applications" for refund always granted

Email from Ryanair saying they have changed my flight time. Bummer. But, it is by more than two (9am instead of 10pm) hours so can 'apply' for a refund. Want to cancel my booking and book with an Airlingus instead. But not if there is any risk of my application to Ryanair being declined for whatever reason. Any risk that Ryanair might decline my application and I would end up with two bookings? I just dont trust'em and worried they might weasel out of refunding me.

Not really. It's a legal entitlement. If they could get away with not doing it, you wouldn't be getting an email offering it: this is Ryanair after all.

I got a refund from them a few weeks back because they changed the flight times as above.

Painless exercise, took 2 minutes to do and refund was on credit card in less than 14 days.

It worked out handy too because I was not actually going to be able to make the flight I booked and was resigned to loosing the money I paid for it.

Surely they can't charge you for cc due to you cancelling your booking which you are entitled to do because of them moving your flight
