Hi, if anyone has any photos of the room could they please post them or pm them to me. Or if anyone has been there recently could they let me know what it was like. I have read the threads saying its a bit grim but was wondering if it has changed.

    Many thanks.

I haven't seen the room but I was advised by anyone who has not to get married there. I know where it's located; beside the old folks hospital. My grandparents were in there for a time and while it's a nice enough hospital etc etc the mere thought of it just made me depressed.

There are some lovely places i.e. hotels, country houses to have civil weddings around Wicklow so don't limit yourself to the registry office.

i agree with How Strange, its in the building with the health board and beside the ambulance station, I think the GlenView in the Glen 'o' Downs has a liscence to do marriage ceremonies now, and has lovely grounds for the photos afterwards
