Some of my plants were doing really nicely until the snow! It looks like they have freaked out..is there anyway of reviving them?

It totally depends on what kind of plants they are. If they are annuals (plants you put in last summer just for summer colour) then they are gone, they are not supposed to survive the winter.
If they are plants that come up year after year then you could cut off the black or withered parts and most likely they will come back in the spring.
If they are shrubs, you should wait until the spring and see do they re-grow. You could cut off any dead parts (leaves and twig-ends) but you would have to identify the plants individually to know exactly how to treat them and whether they are likely to survive.
