This may sound a stupid question, but it never really occured to me before, can you do religion for the leaving cert?
If so, what info do you have on it? (Sllabus, exam structure, marking scheme etc)

I know it's late in the year, but I may take it on for the LC as I'm only doing 6 subjects, one of which is a no go..

I'm extremely interested in Religion (not religious myself though) and think I'd have an edge even if I did take it this late.

think there's a project worth 20% which you need a teacher to sign off on

past papers and marking schemes on www.examinations.ie

or if you are applying to trinity college you could do the biblical studies matric exam which counts as the same points as a higher leaving cert subject just for trinity college. exam is in april and results come out in may.

Religion is one of my teaching subjects and I would strongly advise against taking on this subject in January of our leaving cert year! Have you seen the papers and the course requirements? Its a very tough course at L.C level.
