Another podcast I subscribe to is http://www.premier.org.uk/unbelievable
Each week a christian and a non christian have a polite discussion, chaired by christian Justin Brierly.

I heard Lewis Wolpert on it recently and he came across as a terribly pompous ass and added nothing to the debate. He's a brilliant man and I love his work but he shouldn't be let out in public.

Like Dave! I don't know if you are all familiar with this already.

As an fyi it seems like Point of Inquiry is finished or at least on hiatus, until they find a new host, as DJ Grothe has left CFI for the JREF. Although, he is going to be starting a new show which is the same format for the JREF so long term it's all good.
I've found many a good book from listening to that and I still have 2 years of a backlog to get through :)

Hah I knew that cos he was interviewed on the other podcast I've recently discovered -- the Skeptics' Guide to the Universe :D

Any other podcast recommendations, people? I've got SGU, Skeptoid, Point of Inquiry, the Reality Check, the Pod Delusion.......

Yeah, maybe a mod could change the title of this thread even and add a bit to the OP

Thread title changed. No doubt some smartypants will come up with a better one.

Listened to a Point of Inquiry podcast with Stephen Pinker earlier today. Very good indeed. :)

Try quackcast. It deals with "complimentary" medicine. Skepticality is another skeptical podcast; it's not as good as the SGU imo but it's decent and has an reasonable backlog.
If you're interested in more hard science based shows; then try nature or the scientific america podcast. If you have any sort of interest in astronomy then you definitely should subscribe to Astronomy Cast.
Oh and also try Radio lab, fantastically well produced science show.

I'm subscribed to 51 podcasts so tad emn obsessive

Oh I just realised I forgot to mention Reasonable doubts!
It's an anti apologetics podcast; a lot of people here would enjoy it I would guess.

I listen to Little Atoms (http://skeptic.org.uk/podcasts/little-atoms or iTunes)
Basically a pretty wide ranging show, anything from science, arts, journalism, politics, all depending on the guest of the show.

That and 60-second Psych and 60-second Science and Science Talk from the Scientific American magazine are very good. (http://www.scientificamerican.com/podcast or iTunes)

Well, it's not exactly A+A material, but BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz is the funniest comedy currently on air. The homepage is here:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006r9yq

The podcast is available from here:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/fricomedy

And it's all downloadable downloadable via this RSS feed:

    http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/radio4/fricomedy/rss.xml

    Enjoy!

Anyone know whether the iTunes U programmes are available in Ireland? I keep getting an error, but it's apparently an error with iTunes, it's not saying there's a problem with copyright or whatever, say like you get sometimes on YouTube.

There's an absolute ton of lectures and class materials on there, from Berkeley, Yale, etc etc. It'd be great to be able to access!

Edit: Checked the Apple site, says all the material in iTunes U is free, doesn't mention restriction by region though. :(

Odd. Everything else works, tunes, podcasts, audiobooks, apps. The error I'm getting is a connection error, or so google tells me, but I'm connecting fine, given I've been updating my podcasts etc.

    Grrr
