    Hey all!
Whats a good place to get a bike in ennis for a reasonable price? (no more than 500). I will be using it mostly for exercise and would like to have some off-road capability. So can anyone experienced help me out?
    Thanks for reading.

Tierneys in Abbey St. do a decent range of basic bikes. I always shopped in Siopa Rothar in Limerick when I cycled a bit. Definitely for racers and equipment they were good.

As said above, Tierney's, also there's a place in the Gort Road Industrial estate that have some good deals I think, don't forget to claim your tax back on them (if you cycle to work of course).

You could also drop by Noel Carr, he might have something left over from his bike shop beside Henry J's. :o

If you're using it for work and want to look at the possibility of getting tax back then talk to yor employer first. The employer needs to buy the bike for you and you pay them back minus the tax or something like that. Don't just rush out and buy it without sussing it all out first. If your employer doesn't even know about the scheme then let them know. They can save on PRSI so it might be worth their while.

Siopa Rothar in limerick will get you a lovely second hand bike for about 500 quid if you want bang for your buck

Tiernys are lovely people but don't know anything about off road or specialist bikes. (wanted to get a part of my bike repaired a few years ago (didn't have the tools handy) and had to show them how to do it myself (replace a seal on the suspension)
