    Do you mean the whole glycemic index thing? (thats what I got on google) As far as I know glycemic load is a better indicator or insulin response.

    You could try patrick holfords low gl diet books (as much as I hate him grrr!) but you don't really need them tbh its very straight forward and most people can achieve quite easy weightloss by making a few simple changes without getting too caught up in the whole points thing for example;

    Switch to 100% wholegrains

    Cut out high sugar fruits (all the tropical ones like pineapples and mangos) and dried fruits and stick to stone fruits (plums,peaches etc..), berries (these are the best) and seasonal fruits like apples and pears and cut out fruit juice.

    Check tinned fruits for syrup and sugar contents too.

    Cut out ALL processed sugars so thats sweets, breads, sauces, juices and soft drinks -read the labels it's in nearly everything and going 100% added sugar free takes a while as you have to find new brands that genuinely haven't added any in any form

    Sugar comes in many guises: high fructose corn syrup, grape juice concentrate, fructose, date syrup, wheat syrup the list is endless

    Try having only 2 modest enough portions of wholegrains a day and make sure only one of those is a flour product (bread, crackers, crisp breads etc..)

    If you cut you grain intake down make sure you get a good variety of them (once you're not a coeliac) in try oats, spelt, rye, barley, millet, quinoa, buckwheat etc..

    Bulk up on your veggies (these more than anything except for potatos) and make sure to get at least one big serving of green leafys in a day, beans, lentils, nuts and seeds, oily fish and lean meats for protein and to keep hunger at bay.

    I've done this myself over the years as have my sisters and the weight just falls off us whenever we go back to it after gaining weight from sinking back into our old bad habits for any length of time. I remember the first time I went sugar free and I spent nearly every evening for six months taking my jeans in watching the telly. I went from a small 14 to a small 10 without going to the gym once.

    Are you on Rollercoaster as well? This looks like a very familiar question.
