So I was watching the replay of Impact tonight and one fella who really caught my eye was The Pope. I have to say the lad has got serious mic skills, really enjoyed his interview before his match against Dessie Wolf. The match itself was a good affair, enjoyable enough 10 minute or so mach, he seems to have the crowds favour.

Whats the PW forums opinion the fella? Y'think he'll go places? I'd like to see more of em, must say.

Never really understood why WWE got rid of him, always thought he was awesome on the mic and pretty decent in the ring..

As soon as I seen him I was like "that is a f*****g cool outfit he has on". I also really like his entrance music.

He seems pretty good to me.

True that. Even though I didn't see much of 'Elijah Burke' (by the time I got back into PW, WWE were starting to push him out) he struck me as a guy with a good look and skills who wasn't being used well at all.

That match on iMPACT! was two and a half minutes long. On Pope, I think he has a lot of potential and it was a very clever move to snap him up. TNA need much more of his type - young, talented and hungry.

I'm a big fan of The Pope. WWE really dropped the ball, as already stated. He's got very good mic skills, great gimmick, and more than competent in the ring. He just has to settle on some big trademark moves or get that defining thing to get him super-over with the fans.

Although I feel TNA fans recognise talent better (they seem to cheer mid-carders more - just an observation) and the internet loves him, he's not yet realised his potential. Which is great, really. The sky's the limit. I hope TNA continue to make this guy important. A feud with Daniels would be great (they could focus on the religious aspect - Pope/Fallen Angel)

I wish they'd drop the stupid "D'angelo Dinero" name...i think it's quite lame. I do love the way it rains money (Dinars?) from the rafter sometimes...Anyway, just "The Pope" or "The Black Pope" from his post-WWE days is fine.

Pope is clearly very talented, and I love his gimmick. I always thought the Godfather lacked the mic skills to get the pimpin' character across properly. The Pope clearly has the charisma to do this. Crazy thing is, the WWE knew he had this Street Pope gimmick in him. Its not like he had to reinvent himself going in to TNA.

He is that rarest of commodities in a modern wrestler, a guy that ticks all the boxes. Really good talker, kinda reminds me of the way Ali used to speak, great in ring worker with a unique and varied moveset and a great look.

TNA need to get behind him bigtime.

Even just watching him on the new Spin Cycle makes me wonder how the hell WWE let him slip through their fingers. I was kinda questioning why TNA let Pope pin Wolfe on the live iMPACT! but thinking about it, if Wolfe wins a return match on PPV I don't think it did any harm and it elevates Pope.

He and CM Punk had some outstanding matches on ECW. Made that show barely worth watching. WWE dropped the ball BIG TIME letting this guy go!
