How do I use a Loftbox with a Dual LNB on Sky+ ?

    Hi all,

I'm installing a loftbox in my house, but all of the install diagrams that I see are for a single LNB from the Sat dish, whereas I have a dual LNB on my Sky+ (so 1 channel can be recorded while watching another).

Also - I'm moving the Sky+ box into the same room as the loftbox (it's not going to be in the main room - just in a small comms type room)

Do I have to go through the "SAT ANT" connection and then the "Living Room" connection (as per install diagram here) and thus have only 1 LNB signal, or can I just go :
    2 X LNB Signals --> Sky+ Box
    and
Sky+ Box RF2 out --> "UHF" on loftbox
and then ditribute to all TVs (including Main TV) ?

    Thanks in advance !

I also have a loftbox and am having Sky installed on monday. What they (loftbox) suggest doing is sending one of the LNB feeds through the loftbox and the other straight to the box. The RF2 from the Sky Box then gets send back to the return feed in the loftbox i believe.

Im personally sending both feeds from the LNB down to the sky box and just using the loftbox to distribute the RF2 from the sky box along with the cctv and UHF signal. Dont see a need for a satelite signal in every room.

Will probablly be late next week before i get to play around with it but ill let you know how i get on

I think "SAT ANT" --> "Living Room" on the loftbox is just a passthrough, so I should be OK to totally bypass that and go straight to the Sky+ box with the dual LNB feed.

This "loftbox" is just a fancy booster. Ignore all satellite LNB connections on it and connect the straight to your SkyBox. The return RF goes to your loftbox and that outputs the four feeds to your other rooms.

    Update:

what i have is an 8 Way Distribution Amplifier

this has 2 inputs - uhf and fm

    and 8 outputs

if i use a splitter to combine the 2 sky feeds into the uhf input the picture quality drops

there must be a way to do this

    would a loftbox expander work..?
