Is it just me or has RTE1, RTE2, TV3 and TG4 just stopped working?
    Anybody know why?

    Mines working grand....unfortunately!

Watch out..the tv licence people conduct raids this time of night.

First they freeze your channels with sophisticated scrambler devices then swoop in through the windows like Colin Farrell in SWAT..

...and scream at you for your tv licence, then you end up on a radio ad.

If you're watching on a Sky box plug it out from the mains, wait ten seconds and plug it back in again. That will force a reset.

It happens to my Sky box from time to time.

Just outside of kilkenny city. Its wierd, it flashed to the sky menu for a second before going back to the error screen.

Edit: We have never had a sky box, just your basic terrestial aerial

A "historical city" and a city are too very different things. :)

Some people might say "did they ever work"?

TG4 excluded, as I have a soft spot for it.

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2010/0114/rte.html

RTÉ is currently dealing with a major outage at the Mount Leinster transmitter in the southeast of the country.

The transmitter, which is currently off air, services about 180,000 homes in counties Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Carlow and some homes in south Wicklow.

Radio and Television services are affected.

If the microwave link from Dublin goes down most RTE NL transmitter sites have a skybox to feed the Irish channels to the transmitted to the transmitter.

Removing power from a device forces a reset? *gasp*

I can't get on to rte.ie/news from abroad. Or irishtimes.com either for some reason.

Communications meltdown in Ireland because of flooding, ice, snow, overlords? MMmm...

Edit: every time i type rte.ie/news or irishtimes.com, it directs me to bing.com

I've noticed that quite a lot actually. Are MS allowed do that (even if I am using IE)? Surely it's against competition rules??

    No its the military coup.

The Army has shut down all media sources to keep things quiet until they have seized control then they will announce it.

I expect Boards.ie will be next
