**** sake. A delay in Japan will surely mean a delay here too. I am really fed up with this now.

Yep it really is the biggest pile of poo. Three years and no GT title, it's almost scandelous. Is Kazunori Yamauchi the new George Broussard?

    Absolutely ridiculous.

Only for the NASCAR and IRL licences I would have no interest left in this games. Having said that the small number of tracks makes me think those licences will be next to pointless for anyone who was hoping for the game to be any use. And it seems that there are no more NASCAR games on the way and none fullstop for the IRL, which is really bloody annoying.

This is horrible. Not because it's delayed, but because it's so far back in the summer now that I can see Sony changing their minds and releasing it for Christmas to garnish more hardware sales.

Codemasters better hope to god their F1 title is good in March or there'll be hell to pay! I'm sick of Forza at this stage!

Finally they release the box art and I start to think it's going to acutally make it's release, then another delay. Lame.

This doesn't necessarily mean that we're getting a delay though - for all we know the Japanese release is being brought in line with the US/EU release date.

It is inevitable. It is what the world has been conditioned to think. GT5 will never be released until Playstation 5 is launched.

This game is only delayed for the Japanese not for us. We were never going to get GT5 in March anyways. Sony want to clear March in Europe for God Of War 3 and FFXIII, they do not want GT5 getting imported from Japan and taking potential sales and headlines away from the others, it was always likely to slide to the summer for a global release date.

Whoever decided on GT5 in March in the first place deserves a smack. Heavy Rain, GOW3 and FFXIII are way to close in the calendar year to lump GT5 into the works. Bad job all round by Sony in my view.

Plenty to keep us going so!

Duke Nukem is one of the main drivers in GT5.

Seeing as your playing pokemon now (according to your sig) maybe you'll enjoy GT5

It doesn't matter if it gets delayed in japan, they are probably just pushing forward the release to the US/EU date whenever that is.

At least its not like Gran Turismo Mobile, now that is what I call a delay

5 years between its announcment and release. That said though, it is unbelievablely good.

It's not for me. Find driving simulators boring. Much prefer wipeout or F-zero.

That's fair enough and I don't want to sound rude but why come into a thread where you know folk are crazy about the game and make the comment(s) that you did?

That is just ridiculous now. Delay after delay. Let me guess, on the first day of its release, they're going to release a 2GB update that all European players will have to download like they did with GT5P. I'm getting an HD monitor soon so hopefully, I can enjoy GT5P in HD for now but really, come on, just release it ASAP and then just follow through with gradual updates.

If GT5 is released in any market before late summer, i'll be very surprised.

Blame marketing blame bean counters, they're just hellbent on making sales figures spike in the xmas window.

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/news/a196837/polyphony-digital-explains-gt5-delay.html

Developer Polyphony Digital has shed light on its decision to delay the release of Gran Turismo 5 in Japan.
Speaking at CES earlier this month, studio boss Kazunori Yamauchi explained that the racing title has been postponed because it is yet to be completed.
"About 90% of the game is done. We are just working on the last 10% and polishing up everything," he told USA Today.
He also revealed that the game will be compatible with the PS3's Motion Controller in certain sections. "It might be used to maybe control the user interface like you would a mouse, but that's the extent we would use it for," he added.
Earlier this week, Sony revealed that the game's Time Trial Demo has reached one million downloads in Europe. A new batch of screens and a trailer are now available on the title's official website.
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan currently lists GT5's release date as TBC. European launch details are said to be coming "in due course".

The exact same excuse was used for the last 2 delays aswell, that 90% of the game is done and they have to finish it, How the F*** can they not predict when they will be finished the last 10% is stupid. And i would gladly sacrfice the PS3 motion controller menu system for an earlier release date.

Once again their Press Release is a load of boll0x
