Do you think it's okay to ask your girlfriend/boyfriend after being together 3 years if she or he thinks ye have a future together?

We're 21 and completely in love.

Thats the type of question that is usually asked when a couple is in trouble or if one partner thinks the other is not serious. (Im not suggesting that you's are in any kind of trouble). Does your girlfriend/boyfriend ever talk about the future? Have you's ever discussed marriage, kids, living together in te future, etc... Even just in light conversation? 3 years can be considered a well established relationsip especially at your age and its only natural to be thinking of these things after 3 years together so there's nothing wrong in asking your other half. Though only you know how they will take the question.

You shouldn't be scared of this! Although you are young, there's no harm in discussing it...You don't have to actualy make any commitments, just suggest what it would be like if you were together in say, ten years time or something. Just be honest :)
