I've just been told to throw together some headed paper for the company i'm involved in but I'm a bit lost on what exactly has to be put on it? Does anyone have a simple list?

Name (logo) - address - contact details - vat number.

That would be the main things IMO

According to the Companies Office you should have the following:

The full name of the Company
The names and any former names of the directors and their nationality if not Irish.
The place of registration e.g. Registered in Dublin, Ireland
The registered number from the certificate of incorporation
The address of the Registered Office

    See here for info -

Do you mean you're going to get some printed?

In my limited experience there's little call for traditional headed paper in most businesses these days, and moreover if you have a colour printer you can print them when you want them. If you don't want to use a colour printer all the time, can I suggest you get paper printed up with just your logo on, & create a MS-Word template for your letters, to print the text as you need it.

We used feck all headed paper when we had it, then moved offices unexpectedly 3 years ago, and have only just run out of the 'rough paper' that our redundant headed paper became.

I though we needed headed paper for all official correspondance? Just sending a letter off to the revenue regarding VAT and they spoke of the need for official headed paper.
The full name of the Company
The names and any former names of the directors and their nationality if not Irish.
The place of registration e.g. Registered in Dublin, Ireland
The registered number from the certificate of incorporation
The address of the Registered Office

Thats the list i found but i've no idea why they need it all?

Because its the law regarding freedom of information and data, anyone should be able to find all that relevant information on your headed paper or website if you have one if you are registered as a company. By law you are supposed to declare the above info on all documentation paper and electronic, including emails, websites and headed paper.

The cost of printing 1000 letterheads in color works out cheaper than setting up a Word doc that uses your color cartridges to print logo etc every time you print.
