blank laptop screen?

    hello all,

    some help on my highly technical problem would be great=)

    I replaced the motherboard and lcd screen cable on my friends laptop due to a wine spillage on the motherboard (resulting in a burnt lcd cable)


    The laptop is a siemens amilo li 2727

    Now eveything works fine other than the problem of not getting anything to show up on lcd screen.

    How i know everything else works is because i have connected an external monitor and it will start up into windows.


    any one have any ideas of what this blank cld screen could be?

    could it be that the inverter is burnt out from the wine spillage and that needs to be replaced also?

    the screens backlight is working fine and you can even see it flicker when it goes through start up but there is just no image. a black blank screen is all that is there.


    anyone have any ideas.

    i doubt it is a ram problem due to the fact that external display works just fine.


    anyway, any help would be great
