Hi there, the instructor Mark Leonard posts on this forum, if you search him out you can PM him.

I've met some of the guys at tournaments and they're a decent bunch.

I am not the coach anymore (since 07 in fact!)
I don't think any of the other coaches post here, but you can catch them all on www.NuiGalwayTKD.com

Sound bunch of guys down there, and their TKD skillz are hot!

When I was there we were very competition focused, I am pretty sure the ethos is the same now, as their forum is usually a list of events they attend. TheRealJohnMurphy might be able to attest to the truth or falsehood of this as he has travelled with them often since my departure.

They can tell you about membership fees and such, they could have changed so I don't want to comment.

I'm not really involved with the club anymore to be honest but I'm still in contact with a few of the lads. There's a decent group of fighters in the club amoung the colour belts and two of the blackbelts are competing regularly too.

The club is good craic (or it was when I was there regularly) and a nice friendly one. Like Mark said, get on to the website and send Peter or Oliver a message (Peter's the head instructor these days and Oliver is in charge of the squad) or drop down at any of the times listed.
As far as I know, it's 2euros per session (plus 2euros to the Kingfisher sports centre which is nothing to do with the club) but there's no joining fee or anything like that.

If the club isn't to your taste, I know you'll still be welcome to go to the squad training sessions on Saturday mornings if you want to and as far as I know there's no class fee for those sessions (though the 2euros to the Kingfisher would still apply I imagine). They're always happy to have more people for sparring with.

    Best of luck.
    John
