Gas Fire to normal open fire - next step?

Hi there, Our gas has been disconnected and the pipe capped at the side of the fireplace. We still have gas heating in the rest of the house. To put an open fire in now, do we just lift out the fire bits and bobs and put in a normal grate? I imagine I will have to get the chimney cleaned before too. (would welcome any pointers towards a chimney sweep in Dublin). Thanks in advance.

You nee to get a concrete fire back put in and make sure the chimney is setup properly for solid fuel.
