Sky HD box causes interference to analogue

    Hi

I got my hands on a 2nd hand sky hd box. My old set up was as follows

    1 x sky+ box
    1 x pace sky box

these both fed into an spc4 sky box and were distributed around the house. I had the rf set at 64 for sky+ and 50 for sky box. i was using the sky box to pick up the fta channels.

So i replaced the pace sky box with the sky hd box, again just to be used as a fta box but to pick up bbc hd, itv hd and channel4 hd through the ftv card.

The picture through the rf was perfect on both channels until the swapped boxes. Now with the sky hd box on, their is interference on the sky+ rd out.
When i unplug the hd cable, the interference goes. Has anyone ever come across this before?

    any ideas would be great.

    thanks

Sounds like RF overload ie the signal is too strong. Try changing the RF out channels it may help

    Thanks Tony.

Tried that on channel 25 and now works perfectly, thanks a million.

So do the low rf channels emit different signal strength from the 50s and 60s?

Your other analogue channels are more than likely up in the 50s and 60s

it was 64 that was getting the interference, from 50. so 50 now is 25 and all is working fine!!!
