Fastest HD setup

Would the fastest setup be two SSDs in RAID 0? Has anyone got this setup? or does RAID 0 not offer a significant improvement over a single SSD?

Dunno about SSDs but RAID 0 made things fast with my olde timey mechanical disks... until I got bad sectors on one of them
