Google is the best spell checker I've come across. It gets most words right where the spell checker in it's very own browser (chrome) hasn't a clue what your trying to spell. I really don't get that.

The spell checker in Google Wave is the best at this I think?

It doesn't rely on dictionaries and grammer.. It instead uses volumes of text and compares it to that. I seen a vid where it works class but I'm at work so not gonna go lookin for it.

No doubt Google are using ridiculous volumes of data to get such accuracy, whereas Chrome just comes with a basic list of words, if the word you type is in that list you're grand, otherwise find similar words.

I'd rather not have Google's extra accuracy (which tbh I've never needed, Chrome is good enough for me) if it involves the computer grinding to a halt every time I press space and filling my hard-drive with the data they use :P.

My spelling is shocking so I make regular use of spell checkers. In chrome I could be one letter off and it won't come next nor near the word I was looking for when you type into google it just seems to know what your trying to say.

I'm a bit let down that google didn't put their genius into the spell checker in chrome, it really, really annoys me for some reason.
