Hi all, just wondering how difficult it is to get a tax return without using a service like taxback.com. They take 10% of the return, which is a substantial amount for a student, so I would like to at least try to do it myself.

From what I can tell I need a
    1040NR-EZ form from irs.gov
    w-2 form from employer

I was in Massachusetts so I was also charged state taxes. I presume I can get a form on their revenue site, but what form?

Does anyone know if what I said is right?
    Any help would be appreciated!

Usually your employer would mail the W2 form out to the address they have for you and with the information on that you can file your taxes online through irs.gov

Oh, ok. Thanks. So basically can't do anything until my employer sends out the w-2 form.

Yeah, you gotta wait for that! You should get in touch with them about where they're going to send it. They may not mail it overseas so you might have to get someone to send it to you!
