was only half looking at the tv there but thought i saw tv3 advertising a show called "the cosmetic surgery show" there so just did a google search and low and behold this wednesday its premiering!! jesus wept! in all fairness i thought the recession would have put an end to any kind of shows like this?! if it was for proper medical procedures like for burns victims or other real cases then fair enough but i've no doubt it being on tv3 will head more to the celeb wannabe market.

Saw an ad for it today and it looks just awful. I did not need to see someone's fat being sucked up a tube while I was eating my dinner. But sure, maybe there's an audience for this stuff?

There is unfortunately. You can flick between this and RTE's Operation Nation and decide if you are going to go for the knife or just stop eating so much. New Resolution TV at its best.

ah, I dont think it's fair to blame TV3 for this. Sure they have some very LCD programs, but people are asking for plastic surgery and it is a serious topic that possibly warrants a program. Dont think it will be for the faint hearted though.

As if they were not filmed together. I bet you it is some show that is sold to different countries and they just slot their own presenter in Caroline's spot to read off a script to Dr 90210's pre-filmed parts.

Just saw a trailer for this. OMG, how freaky does that doctor look? Like a wax dummy that's come to life or something. I'd say they probably have to surgically remove him from his mirror every 10 minutes anyways. Why are so many Yanks such insufferable prize plonkers?

Sweet Jesus that was painful..................no not the penis job, but that plank presenter, Why oh why did TV3 feel the need to pay some hugely wealthy yank/surgeon (well he had a stetascope ?) to present this show...did they think no one would watch if there wasnt at least one presenter with an american accent.....I would have preferred to see Martin King there making a few jokes and wotnot....And what happened to the arse job..we never got to see that....:(

I have to say looking back on the thing, and not being sarcy for once, I did think there was something odd about the way it was presented.. It looked like they were not necessarily looking at the each when they were reading their respective lines. Maybe it was the odd background.

That doctor is typical over the top American style of presenting. I have to say, I think Caroline is lovely. My guilty pleasure.. and before you slag me.. the OP likes Brian Lenihan.. so there..

Can't believe this show. It's taking voyuerism to a new low level and as others have said seem to be an ad for particular cosmetic surgery groups (last week they were talking about the dangers of going "abroad" for treatment and how even though it's much cheaper it's MUCH more dangerous).

Can't believe the gorgeous Caroline would take on a job like this, she really must be missing those cheques from the Podge & Rodge show!

I watched this and face palmed. The presenters are awful and there's no chemistry between them at all. It's just the two of them standing there, obviously reading from an auto cue.
Disappointing.
