    Hi All
    Hoping to get some feedback on the above , am heading over in may for 5 days wit the girls for my 30th , havnt booked accomodation yet and not sure whether to book an apartment or a hotel , or to stay in marbella itself or puerto banus ? have heard its quite expensive so any feedback or reccomendations much appreciated ,:)

    there is not alot in marbella to be perfectly honest, its nice and scenic but i suspect women would like it better than us guys, plenty of shopping options, the beach in town is small but very clean

    the good thing about marbella is its location, you can take a day trip to gibraltar (i really enjoyed the rock and the monkeys), only down the road from malaga, not all that far from sevilla and only a short bus ride and ferry to tangier in morocco

    i've been there many times where you want to go are very expensive twice the price of other towns nearer malaga like fuengirola , just my two cents worth ;)

    P. Banus is rediculously expensive. We (two couples) stayed in a villa in Marbella a couple of years ago and loved it. A day in P.B including breakfast and lunch will cost about the same as three days in Marbella. P.B is good for a day trip and maybe a night out in the Casino, full of rich footballers and celebs if you're into that kind of thing. But Marbella in my opinion is nicer, has a nice beach, nice friendly and compact town with good beachside restaurants and some nice bars.

    P.Banus if you're loaded and superficial
    Marbella if you like value, quality and genuine people

    cheers guys , would love to rent an apt in marbella its just the amount of them and all the diff areas !! jeez how do i just get a decent 2 bed in the centre of things !

    hire a car, we rented a villa just outside the town, on golden mile, up a big hill off the main road into the town, 5 mins in car. you'll be landing at malaga airport anyway so you might as well hire a car there and drive to marbella, thats we did and its what i'll be doing again.
