We stayed in 4 star apartments in matagorda last march and the brochure said the pool was heated but basically when we got there it was freezing. it turns out there is a law in lanzarote that states swimming pools must be heated via solar panels. A friend stayed in a 5 star in may and she said the pool was cold there too. Our 4 year old loves swimming so its important that we get a pool warm enough to get into - does anyone know if all the pools in lanzarote are like this? we want to travel in april and would like to ideally return to lanzarote but we will definelty need a properly heated pool!

I stayed in the First Choice Holiday Village in Lanzarote and the pool was freezing (I think it was around March time). We were told that there is only one heated pool on the whole island.

Mind you, people were swimming in Sandycove on Saturday, so i guess it is all relative:D

Why confine yourself to Lanzarote? There are plenty of other - and maybe even nicer - places to go on holiday!
