asus p5k-deluxe problem"HELP"

    i have a p5k witch is working fine iv put it into another rig that has a ide hard drive but it wont find the ide drive iv try,d all the jumpers on the hd and i know the disc and ide cable are ok anyone got any idea,s :mad::mad::mad:

    You might need to set the BIOS to recognise IDE drives (as opposed to SATA)

    Tell me about it,also,make sure the hard drives are in IDE mode (in the BIOS) and not ACHI

    well got it going thank god poxy bios setting i think lol fooled around with a load of the bios and about 500th time lucky bingo ow why ow why but from what i read the mobo does,nt like idea and yet iv a msi p45 had no problems with ide go figure eh cheers deano
